Enabling a provider doesn't fake a connection. Until real authorization exists, it says so — no placeholder files, no simulated sync.
Indexing is opt-in per folder. Local access uses Android's own folder grants by default; broader access is a switch you flip, never a demand at first launch.

Device storage, SMB shares, WebDAV, SFTP, FTP, S3-compatible buckets (AWS, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO) and seven clouds — Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, pCloud, Yandex Disk, Koofr. One browse UI, one transfer queue, every back-end.
Opt-in, per-folder indexing that extracts text from documents, Office files and PDFs — and runs OCR on images in five scripts (Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Devanagari). It even reads inside zips, nested ones included. The index is SQLCipher-encrypted with a key in the Android Keystore, and everything runs on-device. Remote folders can be indexed too.
Synology owners get a live dashboard — CPU, RAM, temperature, volume health — plus reboot, shutdown and Wake-on-LAN, and a native admin panel for users, shared folders, services and packages. QNAP, Asustor, TerraMaster, UGREEN and TrueNAS boxes are detected on the LAN with one-tap console access.
Copy or move between any two back-ends — cloud to NAS, NAS to phone, bucket to bucket. The queue is durable: it persists through app kills and reboots, with progress, retry, cancel and history. A move deletes the source only after the copy is verified. That order is a hard rule.
Extract zip, 7z, rar, tar, gz, bz2, xz and arj; create zip, tar.gz and 7z — on device storage or straight on a network share. Zip-slip attacks are defended, zip bombs bounded. There's a built-in viewer for text, Markdown and code, an image viewer, and a media player for streaming straight off your NAS.
Flip a switch and your phone shares a folder over Wi-Fi — any browser on the network can list, download and upload, no app install on the other side. Runs as a proper foreground service with the live URL one tap away.
Every capability above is a section you can switch off. Don't own a NAS? That section never appears. Don't use clouds? Gone. Browse shows exactly your world — nothing else.
